Installation Instructions
(1) Install StdCLibInit (Sanity SaVR Tools folder) into the System's Extension folder and connect the QuickTime VR dongle (included in the QuickTime VR Authoring Suite) to your ADB port.
(2) Open Sanity SaVR, and review the Read Me in the About Box for the latest feature additions and other documentation.
(3) Select “Sample Pano” from the top pull down menu and click the Make Pano button.
At this point, a script will be saved, the ToolServer will execute the script and finally a small, low resolution QuickTime VR panorama of the R&D Campus will open.
(4a) Select “Nikon 15mm” from the top pull down menu.
(4b) Insert the “PCD1000” CD from the Authoring Tools Suite and drag and drop the “768 x 512” folder containing 120 Company Store sample images.
(4c) Select images 002 through 013 by deselecting the default set (command click) and then shift dragging the range of images.
(4d) Select an existing destination folder to store the results.
(4e) Click the Make Pano button.
This time a full resolution QuickTime VR panorama of the Company Store will open.
(5) Select one of the other preset configurations, or make modifications for your own following the instructions in Chapters 9, 12 & 13. Your changes will be saved as Custom.
If You Encounter Problems
If you have problems using Sanity SaVR, try building the panorama again with the Activity Log window open (choose it from the Windows menu to open). Copy the contents of the Activity Log window and the Build Pano Script and Build Pano Script.err files (they’re in the destination folder) — along with a description of what happened — into an email and send it to Joel Cannon <jcannon@apple.com>. (Depending on available time, we may not be able to personally respond to all bug reports.)
If you have a serious QTVR problem that requires attention, then please continue to use the standard QuickTime VR Authoring Tools Suite and get support thru the regular channels (which include the QuickTime VR mailing list <http://www.solutions.apple.com/listadmin/> and Apple’s Developer Support devsupport@apple.com).
